New York High School Basketball - St. Peter's can't hold off Iona Prep

The St. Peter's Eagles basketball team (Staten Island, NY), was nudged 57-55 in Saturday's league battle with the host Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY)

The Gaels now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Xaverian for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 20.

The Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Christ the King (Middle Village, NY). The Royals enter the Catholic AA - Brooklyn/Queens match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Christ the King nudged St. Francis Prep (Fresh Meadows, NY), 54-43, in a league match.
