Kermit Yellow Jackets (Kermit, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Midessa Warriors (Odessa, TX), 55-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Kermit upgrades its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets travel to Trinity (Midland, TX) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 2-11. Trinity lost 74-50 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX)

Next up, the Warriors play the McCamey Badgers (McCamey, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 2. Midessa will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record.
