The Lakeside Rams (Hot Springs, AR) basketball nipped the host Star City Bulldogs (Star City, AR), 59-57 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Rams (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Arkadelphia (Arkadelphia, AR). The Badgers go into the non-league test with a 4-0 record. In their last test, Arkadelphia got by Gurdon (Gurdon, AR), 75-28, in a non-league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Stuttgart for a 4A Region 8 test on Wednesday, January 4. Star City will encounter a Ricebirds squad coming off a 56-51 non-league win over McGehee (McGehee, AR). The Ricebirds record now stands at 2-1.
