Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers (Augusta, GA) and the host Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC), saw Academy of Richmond County's basketball squad overcome Midland Valley by a tally of 60-49.

With the victory, Academy of Richmond County improves its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Musketeers host Morgan County (Madison, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a AAA Region 4 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 4-5.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Laney Wildcats (Augusta, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 28. Midland Valley will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 53-43 non-league win over Jefferson County (Louisville, GA).
