Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Saraland Spartans (Saraland, AL), 67-63 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Picayune upgrades its record to 6-10 on the campaign. The Maroon Tide travel to Forrest County Agricultural (Brooklyn, MS) to play the Aggies in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Aggies come into the bout with a record of 10-2. Forrest County Agricultural won 62-52 in their recent non-league bout against Hancock (Kiln, MS)

Next up, the Spartans play the West Blocton Tigers (West Blocton, AL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Saraland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record.
