The Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Pine Grove Cardinals to 34 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hurricanes now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to MMI Preparatory School for a non-league contest on Monday, December 19. Schuylkill Haven will meet a team coming off a 62-37 non-league loss to Troy (Troy, PA). The record now stands at 1-4.

The Cardinals (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Minersville (Minersville, PA). The Battlin' Miners enter the non-league contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Minersville knocked off Williams Valley (Tower City, PA), 44-43, in a league game.
