Western Warriors (Louisville, KY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA), 59-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Western upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Alexander (Douglasville, GA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Monday, December 19. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 8-1. Alexander won 60-57 in their recent non-league bout against Walton (Marietta, GA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Lovett Lions (Atlanta, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Walnut Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 68-59 non-league loss to Butler (Augusta, GA).
