The Jefferson Area Falcons (Jefferson, OH) basketball knocked off the host St. John Fighting Herald (Ashtabula, OH), 45-34 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Falcons (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Poland Seminary (Poland, OH). The Bulldogs go into the Northeast Eight test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Poland Seminary notched a victory over South Range (Canfield, OH), 47-26, in a league test.
The Fighting Herald now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Pymatuning Valley for a Northeastern test on Monday, December 19. St. John will encounter a Lakers squad coming off a 55-49 league loss to Badger (Kinsman, OH). The Lakers record now stands at 7-2.
