The Shiprock Chieftains basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Monte Del Sol Charter Dragons to 9 in the Chieftains non-league victory on Saturday.

The Chieftains now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grants for a non-league contest on Monday, December 19. Shiprock will battle a Pirates team coming off a 50-31 non-league win over Aztec (Aztec, NM). The Pirates record now stands at 2-5.

The Dragons (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Coronado (Gallina, NM). The Leopards come into the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Coronado was routed by Tse' Yi' Gai (Cuba, NM), 47-33, in a non-league contest.
