Neoga Indians (Neoga, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Newton Eagles (Newton, IL), 53-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Neoga upgrades its record to 12-0 on the season. The Indians host Brownstown (Brownstown, IL) to clash with the Bombers in a bout on Monday, December 19. The Bombers go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Brownstown won 49-31 in their recent non-league bout against Casey-Westfield (Casey, IL)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Vincennes Rivet Patriots (Vincennes, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Newton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 43-38 non-league loss to North Daviess (Elnora, IN).
