The West Carroll Thunder basketball team (Savanna, IL), was toppled 45-35 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Newman Central Catholic Comets (Sterling, IL)
The Comets now possess a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Polo for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 17. Newman Central Catholic will confront a Marcos team coming off a 37-32 non-league win over Riverdale (Port Byron, IL). The Marcos record now stands at 5-5.
The Thunder (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against River Ridge/Scales Mound (Hanover, IL). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, River Ridge/Scales Mound beat Eastland (Lanark, IL), 62-42, in a non-league battle.
