The Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA) basketball nipped the host Morehead Panthers (Eden, NC), 38-35 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Hawks (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Colonels go into the non-league test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Altavista was tipped by Rustburg (Rustburg, VA), 49-22, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Southern Guilford for a test on Monday, December 19. Morehead will encounter a Storm squad coming off a 58-30 non-league loss to Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC). The Storm record now stands at 3-5.
