Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Thomas Jefferson Vikings (Richmond, VA), 67-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Woodside upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Norcom (Portsmouth, VA) to play the Greyhounds in a non-league bout on Monday, December 26. The Greyhounds come into the bout with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Vikings play the Glen Allen Jaguars (Glen Allen, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
