Staples-Motley Cardinals (Staples, MN) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Aitkin Gobblers (Aitkin, MN), 66-65 in a league match.

With the victory, Staples-Motley upgrades its record to 4-1 on the year. The Cardinals host Perham (Perham, MN) to face the Yellowjackets in a non-league match on Friday, December 20.
