In Tuesday's non-league test, the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes (Merna, NE) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Overton Eagles (Overton, NE), by a score of 64-52.

Next, the Coyotes encounter the Mullen Broncos (Mullen, NE) in a D2 District 9 test, on Thursday, December 19. Anselmo-Merna will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Broncos come into the test with a 2-1 record after their 47-43 non-league win over Hyannis (Hyannis, NE).

The Eagles (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Pleasanton (Pleasanton, NE). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Pleasanton went down by South Loup (Arnold, NE), 57-50, in a non-league test.
