In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Gainesville Red Elephants basketball team scored a good 66-53 triumph over the Sandy Creek Patriots.

The Red Elephants (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Chestatee (Gainesville, GA). The War Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Chestatee was topped by Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA), 87-31, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Trinity Christian Lions (Sharpsburg, GA) in a AAA Region 2 contest, on Thursday, December 19. Sandy Creek will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record. The Lions go into the contest with a 1-8 record after their 79-44 league loss to Troup County (LaGrange, GA).
