In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Wills Point Tigers basketball team scored a close 49-42 triumph over the Gilmer Buckeyes.

The Tigers (3-13) will now prepare for their contest against Frankston (Frankston, TX). The Indians go into the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Frankston nipped Cross Roads (Malakoff, TX), 72-20, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Buckeyes battle the Pine Tree Pirates (Longview, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 contest, on Friday, December 20. Gilmer will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Pirates go into the contest with a 8-7 record after their 44-41 non-league loss to Longview (Longview, TX).
