    • California High School Basketball - University City knocks off Mt. Carmel

    December 17, 2024: San Diego, CA 92122

    The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the University City Centurions (San Diego, CA) and the visiting Mt. Carmel Sundevils (San Diego, CA), observed University City's basketball team overcome Mt. Carmel by a margin of 67-51.

    The Centurions (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Sage Creek (Carlsbad, CA). The Bobcats come into the non-league challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Sage Creek dropped by Carlsbad (Carlsbad, CA), 75-66, in a league challenge.

    In their next game, the Sundevils battle the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 19. Mt. Carmel will attempt to better on its 2-9 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 49-45 non-league win over Southwest SD (San Diego, CA).
