The Muhlenberg County Mustangs basketball team scored 78 points and limited the host Owensboro Red Devils to 70 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now have a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Campbellsville for a non-league game on Thursday, December 26.

With the loss, Owensboro falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to South Warren (Bowling Green, KY) to confront the Spartans in a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. The Spartans go into the game with a record of 6-1. South Warren won 74-69 in their recent non-league game against Barren County (Glasgow, KY)
