North Carolina High School Basketball - Southern Alamance trounced by Union Pines

December 17, 2024: Graham, NC 27253

Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Southern Alamance Patriots (Graham, NC), 87-47 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Union Pines advances its record to 6-3 on the year. The Vikings host Montgomery Central (Troy, NC) to face the Timberwolves in a non-league match on Thursday, December 26. The Timberwolves enter the match with a record of 0-8. Montgomery Central lost 65-32 in their recent non-league match against Union Academy (Monroe, NC)

The Patriots now own a 0-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Williams for a 3A Central match on Friday, December 20. Southern Alamance will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 74-66 non-league loss to Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.
