The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Big Rapids Cardinals (Big Rapids, MI) and the host Cedar Springs Red Hawks (Cedar Springs, MI), observed Big Rapids's basketball team edge Cedar Springs by a score of 48-44.

The Cardinals (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Reed City (Reed City, MI). The Coyotes come into the Central State challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Reed City was tipped by Morley Stanwood (Morley, MI), 58-55, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Red Hawks encounter the Grant Tigers (Grant, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 20. Cedar Springs will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record.
