The Buckhorn Wildcats basketball team scored 68 points and limited the visiting June Buchanan Crusaders to 44 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now possess a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Leslie County for a District 54 game on Wednesday, December 18. Buckhorn will confront a Eagles team coming off a 34-19 non-league loss to McCreary Central (Stearns, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, June Buchanan falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Knott County Central (Hindman, KY) to confront the Patriots in a District 53 game on Thursday, December 19. The Patriots go into the game with a record of 2-1. Knott County Central won 62-24 in their recent league game against Letcher County Central (Whitesburg, KY)
