In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Gobles Tigers basketball team scored a close 52-46 triumph over the Howardsville Christian Eagles.
The Tigers (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Black River (Holland, MI). The Rats go into the Southwestern - Central contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Black River nipped Tri-Unity Christian (Wyoming, MI), 37-32, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Lakers (St. Joseph, MI) in a Berrien-Cass-St. Joseph - White contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Howardsville Christian will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Lakers go into the contest with a 3-2 record after their 50-18 non-league loss to Galesburg-Augusta (Galesburg, MI).
