West Virginia High School Basketball - Nicholas County holds off Hoover

December 17, 2024: Summersville, WV 26651

The Nicholas County Grizzlies basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting Hoover Huskies to 58 in the Grizzlies non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Grizzlies now possess a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Shady Spring for a Coalfield AA game on Friday, December 20. Nicholas County will confront a Tigers team coming off a 55-42 non-league loss to Summit Christian Academy (Princeton, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Hoover falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Huskies host Sissonville (Charleston, WV) to confront the Indians in a Cardinal game on Thursday, December 19. The Indians go into the game with a record of 3-1. Sissonville won 48-39 in their recent league game against Winfield (Winfield, WV)
