Next, the Mavericks clash with the Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 test, on Friday, January 3. Memorial will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record.

The Eagles (3-10) will now prepare for their test against Vernon (Vernon, TX). The Lions come into the 3A Region I District 7 test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Vernon went down by City View (Wichita Falls, TX), 61-24, in a league test.
