In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Marshall Redhawks basketball team scored a close 46-43 triumph over the Mason Bulldogs.
The Redhawks (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Hastings (Hastings, MI). The Saxons go into the Interstate 8 contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Hastings nipped Springport (Springport, MI), 56-45, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the St. Johns Redwings (St. Johns, MI) in a Capital Area - Red contest, on Friday, December 20. Mason will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Redwings go into the contest with a 4-1 record after their 71-31 non-league win over Charlotte (Charlotte, MI).
