Anderson Indians (Anderson, IN) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN), 46-41 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Anderson advances its record to 1-0 on the year.

The Marauders now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shelbyville for a match on Friday, December 20. Mt. Vernon will face a Golden Bears squad coming off a 34-23 non-league win over Rushville (Rushville, IN). The Golden Bears record now stands at 1-0.
