    The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) and the host Trinity Bulldogs (Trinity, NC), witnessed Southwestern Randolph's basketball squad triumph over Trinity by a count of 60-35.

    With the victory, Southwestern Randolph advances its record to 3-4 on the year. The Cougars host Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC) to meet the Patriots in a non-league match on Friday, December 19. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 3-4. Providence Grove won 83-80 in their recent non-league match against Southern Guilford (Greensboro, NC)

    The Bulldogs now own a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Davidson for a non-league match on Monday, December 22. Trinity will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 63-27 league loss to Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy (Winston-Salem, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-6.
