North Carolina High School Basketball - Purnell Swett toppled by Dillon

December 17, 2025: Pembroke, NC 28372

Dillon Wildcats (Dillon, SC) backers were thrilled Wednesday as they saw their basketball team topple the host Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), 72-52 in a non-league game.

The Wildcats now have a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to St. Pauls for a non-league game on Friday, December 19. Dillon will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 61-59 non-league win over Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Purnell Swett falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Rams host Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC) to confront the Raiders in a non-league game on Thursday, December 18. The Raiders go into the game with a record of 4-3. Richmond Senior lost 61-59 in their recent non-league outing against St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC)
