In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Archbishop Hannan Hawks soccer squad scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Newman Greenies.
The Hawks (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Pearl River (Pearl River, LA). The Rebels come into the Division III District 7 battle with a 0-7 record. In their last battle, Pearl River was nudged by Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA), 6-1, in a non-league battle.
The Greenies (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Archbishop Shaw (Marrero, LA). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Archbishop Shaw nudged Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA), 9-1, in a non-league battle.
