With the win, Mahnomen/Waubun upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Thunderbirds host Cass Lake-Bena (Cass Lake, MN) to clash with the Panthers in a A Section 8 bout on Thursday, December 21. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Cass Lake-Bena lost 71-61 in their recent non-league bout against Red Lake County Central (Oklee, MN)

Next up, the Gators clash with the Sacred Heart Eagles (East Grand Forks, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Badger/Greenbush-Middle River will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 63-58 non-league win over East Grand Forks (East Grand Forks, MN).
