Capitol Lions (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Istrouma Indians (Baton Rouge, LA), 63-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Capitol upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Lions host Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Indians play the St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks (Greensburg, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Istrouma will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
