    The Monroe Bearcats basketball team scored 76 points and held the host Cascade Bruins to 52 in the Bearcats league triumph on Monday.

    The Bearcats now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cheney for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 20. Monroe will meet a Blackhawks team coming off a 61-52 league win over Shadle Park (Spokane, WA). The Blackhawks record now stands at 2-4.

    The Bruins (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Kamiak (Mukilteo, WA). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Kamiak triumphed over Inglemoor (Kenmore, WA), 65-60, in a non-league contest.
