Alabama High School Basketball - Midfield holds off Central of Coosa County

December 18, 2023: Midfield, AL 35228

Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Midfield Patriots (Midfield, AL) and the visiting Central of Coosa County Cougars (Rockford, AL), saw Midfield's basketball squad hold off Central of Coosa County by a tally of 71-64.

With the victory, Midfield improves its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Patriots host Parker (Birmingham, AL) to confront the Thundering Herd in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 20. The Thundering Herd come into the challenge with a record of 10-4. Parker won 57-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Gadsden City (Gadsden, AL)

Next up, the Cougars confront the Carver Birmingham Rams (Birmingham, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Central of Coosa County will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 61-56 non-league win over Gardendale (Gardendale, AL).
