The Central Wildcats basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Lexington Golden Bears to 39 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Monday.
The Wildcats now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lawrence County for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 21. Central will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 46-44 non-league win over Hatton (Town Creek, AL). The Red Devils record now stands at 7-7.
The Golden Bears (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Tharptown (Russellville, AL). The Wildcats come into the 2A Area 16 contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Tharptown was defeated by Hatton (Town Creek, AL), 52-42, in a league contest.
