Cranston West Falcons (Cranston, RI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI), 60-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Cranston West upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Falcons travel to Toll Gate (Warwick, RI) to play the Titans in a Division 2 bout on Wednesday, December 20. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Toll Gate won 45-39 in their recent league bout against Tiverton (Tiverton, RI)

Next up, the Islanders play the Portsmouth Patriots (Portsmouth, RI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 22. Middletown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 74-62 league win over Cranston East (Cranston, RI).
