Pasco Pirates (Dade City, FL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hernando Leopards (Brooksville, FL), 55-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pasco upgrades its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to River Ridge (New Port Richey, FL) to play the Royal Knights in a 5A District 6 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Royal Knights come into the bout with a record of 2-6.

Next up, the Leopards play the Nature Coast Tech Sharks (Brooksville, FL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Hernando will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Sharks come into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 71-46 non-league loss to Central (Brooksville, FL).
