In Monday's non-league outing, the Thayer Bobcats (Thayer, MO) basketball squad beat the visiting Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR), by a count of 70-53.
The Bobcats (4-2) will now prepare for their outing against Mountain Grove (Mountain Grove, MO). The Panthers go into the South Central outing with a 3-4 record.
The Cougars now hold a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to South Side for a 2A Region 2 outing on Tuesday, December 19. Izard County will clash with a Hornet squad coming off a 64-48 non-league win over Hector (Hector, AR). The Hornet record now stands at 9-10.
