The Laurel Spartan basketball team (New Castle, PA), dropped 59-51 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Western Beaver Golden Beavers (Industry, PA)
The Golden Beavers now possess a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Side for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 19. Western Beaver will battle a Rams team coming off a 76-63 non-league loss to Eden Christian Academy (Pittsburgh, PA). The Rams record now stands at 3-3.
The Spartan (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against New Brighton (New Brighton, PA). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record.
