Monmouth United Red Storm (Monmouth, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lewistown Indians (Lewistown, IL), 41-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monmouth United upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Red Storm travel to Henderson County (Henderson, KY) to play the Colonels in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Colonels go into the bout with a record of 6-0.

Next up, the Indians play the Galva Wildcats (Galva, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Lewistown will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 63-49 non-league loss to Midland (Varna, IL).
