Link Academy Lions (Branson, MO) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC), 67-59 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Link Academy upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Columbus (Miami, FL) to play the Explorers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Explorers come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Columbus won 73-38 in their recent non-league bout against Archbishop Ryan (Philadelphia, PA)

Next up, the Vikings play the West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Queen City bout, on Friday, January 5. North Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 41-39 league win over Hough (Cornelius, NC).
