Wakefield Trojans (Wakefield, NE) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Westwood Rebels (Sloan, IA), 54-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wakefield upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Trojans travel to Lutheran-Northeast (Norfolk, NE) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-0. Lutheran-Northeast won 39-24 in their recent non-league bout against Pierce (Pierce, NE)

Next up, the Rebels play the West Sioux Falcons (Hawarden, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Westwood will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 65-51 league loss to Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA).
