The Monroe Hornets basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Fairborn Skyhawks to 22 in the Hornets non-league victory on Monday.
The Hornets now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edgewood for a Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern contest on Thursday, December 21. Monroe will battle a Cougars team coming off a 65-56 league win over Franklin (Franklin, OH). The Cougars record now stands at 2-4.
The Skyhawks (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sidney (Sidney, OH). The Yellowjackets come into the Miami Valley - Valley contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Sidney prevailed over West Carrollton (West Carrollton, OH), 38-29, in a league contest.
