The Jasper Pirates basketball team (Jasper, AR), was routed 88-59 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Lamar Warriors (Lamar, AR)
The Warriors now sport a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Atkins for a 3A Region 5 battle on Friday, January 5. Lamar will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 73-37 non-league loss to Quitman (Quitman, AR). The Red Devils record now stands at 4-7.
The Pirates (13-7) will now prepare for their battle against Omaha (Omaha, AR). The Eagles come into the 1A Region 1 East battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Omaha trounced Mount Judea (Mount Judea, AR), 66-22, in a league battle.
