Virginia High School Basketball - William Monroe succumbs to Orange County

December 18, 2023: Stanardsville, VA 22973

The Orange County Fighting Hornets topped the host William Monroe Dragons basketball team by a final score of 34-22 in Monday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Fighting Hornets face the Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA) in a game, on Wednesday, January 3. Orange County will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 6-0 record after their 46-21 non-league win over Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA).

With the defeat, William Monroe moves to 2-3 on the year. The Dragons travel to Broadway (Broadway, VA) to face the Gobblers in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 2. The Gobblers enter the game with a record of 5-3.
