The North Providence Cougars basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights to 39 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.

The Cougars now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Scituate for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 20. North Providence will meet a Spartans team coming off a 57-17 non-league loss to Cranston East (Cranston, RI). The Spartans record now stands at 0-2.

The Scarlet Knights (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Paul Cuffee (Providence, RI). The enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Paul Cuffee was outscored by Moses Brown (Providence, RI), 59-34, in a non-league contest.
