Mahpiya Luta Crusaders (Pine Ridge, SD) supporters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host McLaughlin Mustangs (McLaughlin, SD), 62-26 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Mahpiya Luta advances its record to 1-1 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Lakota Tech (Pine Ridge, SD) to face the Tatanka in a non-league match on Thursday, December 19. The Tatanka enter the match with a record of 1-0. Lakota Tech won 62-51 in their recent league match against St. Francis Indian (St. Francis, SD)

The Mustangs now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Todd County for a non-league match on Thursday, December 19. McLaughlin will face a Falcons squad coming off a 66-43 non-league win over Chamberlain (Chamberlain, SD). The Falcons record now stands at 1-1.
