In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host West Branch Warriors basketball team scored a close 30-24 triumph over the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers.
The Warriors (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Juniata Valley (Alexandria, PA). The Hornets go into the contest with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Mountaineers confront the Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels (Houtzdale, PA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 20. Philipsburg-Osceola will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
