In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Bishop Fenwick Crusaders basketball team scored a close 37-32 triumph over the Newton South Lions.

The Crusaders (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against New Mission (Boston, MA). The Titans go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, New Mission was tipped by Ursuline Academy (Dedham, MA), 63-16, in a league contest.
