The Falls Lake Firebirds basketball team scored 43 points and limited the host Oxford Prep Griffins to 26 in the Firebirds non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Firebirds now have a 7-5 record. They play next when they host NCSSM: Durham for a 1A/2A Super Six game on Thursday, January 9. Falls Lake will confront a Unicorns team coming off a 45-23 non-league win over Triangle Math & Science (Apex, NC). The Unicorns record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Oxford Prep falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Griffins host Vance Charter (Henderson, NC) to confront the Knights in a 1A Triangle North game on Wednesday, January 8. The Knights go into the game with a record of 1-5.
